The Municipal Fiscal Advisory Committee (MFAC) has provided pro bono management and consulting services to its sole client, the City and County of San Francisco since its founding over twenty five years ago when a group of business leaders joined with Mayor George Moscone to form MFAC. Recently, with the support of Mayor Gavin Newsom, MFAC is revitalizing its relationship with the City and encouraging department heads to identify projects that are consistent with MFAC¹s mission and resources and the City¹s needs.

To increase the effectiveness of MFAC and the potential benefits of its services to the City, MFAC is developing a standard form of project application to be submitted by City department heads when requesting that MFAC engage in a project. The Project application will help City department heads and MFAC define the scope of the Project and also provide a clear mechanism for City department heads to communicate with MFAC.
